Indarklight are a Hampshire based group with a great 90's Britpop sound and they are playing at the Anton Arms on 1st March 2008 at 8.30. They have had some great reviews - checkout their website by clicking here. Should be a great night.

Woollies brings on the January Sale!! |
Woollies is bringing on the January Sales early this year! Good for all the late shoppers but does this mean that those interest rate rises, Council Tax hikes and disappearing credit card limits are beginning to bite? Well, probably. Still, grab it while it's cheap - you might not be able to afford it after Christmas:-) Talking of saving cash, Propaganda are apparently doing a free New Year's Eve Party on the 31st and the night before that -Sunday 30th - there is a 'Jambo Sounds open mic night' where you can hear some of Andover's undiscovered musicians. You can even try to become an undiscovered musician yourself by contacting Ian Easton http://www.myspace.com/ianeastonmusic

Spreading Santa's Christmas cheer at Mailbox! |
Wendy Wright and Manager Nigel Terry at Mailbox are keeping Santa busy with his own personal collection box at their offices in George Yard, Andover. "We've not been too badly hit by the slowdown in the retail sector because we do a lot of business-to-business work," said Nigel. That postal contract with S Claus may have helped put a smile on their faces!
What are your predictions for 2008? Will whoever left those big concrete balls in the middle of the High Street come back to collect them? Will the guy who sells the Big Issue finally realise he could get a management job in a nice warm office? Will Test Valley Borough Council open a support line for victims of brown-bin-black-bin anxiety syndrome? Will the A303 sink under the weight of Tesco lorries?
Blog your predictions here:
