Can the police do something about the violent drunken yobs late at night? |

by Dan66 Beatty Court Admirals Way I don’t want to criticise the police because they do a job I wouldn’t want to do but they do need to do a bit more to sort out the violent drunks who hang around the town centre late at night when everyone is turning out of Life or Town Mills. Anyone who likes to go out and enjoy themselves in the town knows roughly who these idiots are and everyone is totally fed up with them.
There are plenty of police about in the town but they are all within the security camera zone. The yobbos have moved to the outskirts – out of range of the cameras – places like the churchyard are a death trap. The Tesco Depot - Are there some Councillors who can explain? |

The big Tesco depot is supposed to create a huge number of heavy goods vehicle traffic movements a day around Andover but how much impact will that have on Andover itself or the surrounding villages? Have the Highways Authority made any comments? Will most of the traffic have to go along the A303 or A34 or could we end up with juggernauts going through the middle of the town? If it isn't going to cause too much problem then the extra jobs could be good for the town but what is the real situation? What has been the impact on other towns that have had big depots like this?
